Debra Box received a great honor from her people by being chosen to represent the Southern Ute Nation, along with U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell, at the grand opening of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. this fall. A hand painted parfleche box very similar to this one is on permanent display at the museum. We have examples of Debra's work at The Native American Trading Company in Denver Colorado

Molly Heizer is a true ceramics sculptor. Her inspiration has come from the pueblo groups that are native to the southwest. Her first try into pueblo themes centered on petrogryphs and pictographs to us novice’s rock art that were carved or painted on rocks. Her next venture was to try for larger pieces as shown above. She has taken her art to a higher step that encompasses a work of art but has also brought a blessing from the pueblo elders for her work. Molly’s work varies from pueblo to pueblo, each piece is labeled to a specific tribe, what the figure and design means. Molly in her own ways has found a way to show both humor and respect for the sprit of the pueblo people that she is inspired in her art. Found at The Native American Trading Company here in Denver Colorado

Gwen Fedor has been doing bead work of plains Indians for a long time and has come to show that her work is truly art and represents what many of the plains Indians were doing using items from quills and beads to dress up articles of apparel to bags, backboards and other articles.
